New family Addition!!!

Uncle Chuck shows Kaitlin her new cousin, Allison Jean Tefft.

Malachi was very interested in touching Ally. And he definitely didn't like not getting all the attention. It's amazing to think that just a year ago he was this tiny!

Thanksgiving Day

The first part of Thanksgiving Day Levi and I spent in downtown Detroit where I ran the 10k in the Fifth Third Turkey Trot.

The second part of the day we spent at my aunt and uncle's having an awesome meal and getting to kick back and play cards with the family.

An Early Christmas Gift

Yes the rumors are true! And though maybe we are crazy we love our kids (and animals), so we got Kaitlin her Christmas wish early, a kitten. It was a rescue and it's maybe a couple months old. We've only had it a couple days and the adjustment hasn't been as bad as I thought it might be. The kitten, Daisy, doesn't mind the dogs at all and the dogs just want to lick her. So I'm sure in a few more days the dogs will leave her alone all together.
(And just to ease a few of your minds, Miss Daisy will never be leaving the inside of our house except to go to the vet.)

Howl-N-Boo at the Humane Society

The Kent County Humane Society has a Howl-N-Boo around Halloween time as a fundraiser. So being I'm an animal lover, and it'd be fun for the kids, we dressed them up and took them to the event.
Kaitlin and Malachi were more interested in the kittens than any of the candy or activities. Could there be a kitten in our future???
