We found an old Strato Bank like the one Grandpa had growing up and gave it to him for Christmas. Needless to say everyone wanted a turn shooting the money into the moon.

Malachi Turns 3
After Kaitlin's Christmas program at church we came back and made a birthday breakfast and then let Mal open his gifts.
Kaitlin's Christmas Program
Today we went and saw Kaitlin participate in her Christmas program, "It's a Wonderful Life," at Harvest Bible Church. They have been practicing really hard and we've been listening to the music to help get her ready since September. I think having practice yesterday and then this morning before doing the final performance maxed her out, because she was all over the place! I kept having to remind myself that she was the youngest one in the musical and this is a lot for a five year old. I took a few pictures and then at the last song I took this short video clip of my princess. We couldn't help but laugh during most of it, and this clip doesn't even begin to show all of her onstage behavior.

Half Marathon @ 26.5 Weeks
Well I made it to my pregnancy goal with running! I wanted to be able to run the Grand Rapids Half Marathon at just a tick under seven months pregnant and I did it. I've joined the GR Marathon Staff this year and anyone on staff who wanted to earn their half/full marathon medal went out and ran on October 2nd. (October 17th is the official race day.) So now the plan is to start backing off on the long runs a bit since I'm starting to feel it in the back and stomach muscles from the baby weight. I've been fighting it a bit this week, but since my pregnant body is still recovering from doing the half I haven't had much of a choice but to back off. I'm hoping to still keep my miles at around twenty a week, but I'm just going to be running more days during the week so my running time isn't as long. We'll see how this goes since this week I am truly starting to feel pregnant.
Moses
So After we had to let Miss Daisy go we thought we were done having a cat, but about two weeks later while out on a training run I came across a little black kitten. I left it there because I knew Levi wouldn't be happy about me picking it up, but when I got back and mentioned it to him he said lets go look for it. So sure enough it was right over by where I saw it last. It was very skinny and obviously didn't have a home. So Levi said to bring it with. The cat absolutely loved Levi and so when I asked if we were taking it to the humane society or taking it home he said we'd better stop at the pet store.
We were pretty sure it was a girl and after a day of trying to get the kids to agree on a name we went with Bella. We've had the kitten for two weeks now and I just took it in to the vet for it's first set of shots and got the news that our kitten is a boy. So then we had the fun of agreeing on a new name and trying to get the kitten to understand that we're talking to it. Poor thing! It must be confused. The kids adore our now kitten named Moses, especially Kaitlin. She spends lots of time each day playing with him. This kitten is definitely more friendly and cuddly than our last. Even the vet was surprised at his friendliness. So Moses is defintely here to stay.
